Athletics is the university’s front porch. It’s how alumni, students, families and friends come together to cheer on our student-athletes. It’s how we show our Huskie pride and where many new supporters are introduced to the amazing community that is NIU.
NIU’s student-athletes compete on 17 intercollegiate teams. They embody the term “student-athlete” as they balance academic achievement with athletic excellence, while also preparing for their future careers proudly representing their university.
